Our Story


Lonavala is the perfect place to enjoy a break from city life. The change in temperature and abundance of greenery leads to a change in our mental state. In 2011 we embarked on our journey in Hospitality when we decided to build a resort on a beautiful, wooded stretch of land in Lonavala. We still remember that the property had several trees that were over 80 years old and this gave the location a sense of serenity & calming vibes. We wanted to build something unique and so we knew that ‘the new’ had to blend with and respect ‘the old.’ That is what would make the property unique.

You are able to see & appreciate nature from just about every corner of the property. To further complement the ambience, the Suites at Rhythm Lonavala are the largest accommodation spaces in Lonavala that have been designed with the intention to give your family & friends space to bond with each other. Recently all plastic bottles at the property have been replaced with glass bottles in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

To preserve and pay respect to our heritage we have curated a “Wall of History” in honour of Mr Karsondas Mulraj, an erstwhile freedom fighter from whom we had purchased this land. Mr Mulraj fought alongside some of India’s most prominent freedom fighters, including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Morarji Desai and others.

You'd be fascinated to learn that he was incarcerated alongside Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and several others. Even though Mr Mulraj was never in the limelight, he contributed greatly to the Freedom movement in many ways. Rhythm Lonavala's Wall of History exhibits Mr Karsondas Mulraj’s warm friendship with several prominent leaders from the Indian Freedom movement. Located adjacent to the library, the “Wall of History” displays a wide collection of old letters. The wall is a humble effort to honour Mr Mulraj and his contributions.

We invite you to take a break from city life and enjoy a heavenly stay amidst nature. The inviting turquoise water of the swimming pool is the best place for the kids to spend the evening while you can enjoy some wonderful chai & bhajiyas.

Wall of History

You shouldn't miss a glance at the Wall of History while you're at Rhythm Lonavala. It displays a collection of letters written to Mr. Karsondas Mulraj, from whom we bought this piece of land for the resort. Mr. Mulraj was part of the Indian Independence movement along with some of its most prominent members, including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Morarji Desai and others.
